Last week, CBS News followed me (and my bronchitis) around the supermarket to show how the government’s low inflation numbers of 1-2% don’t reflect what’s happening in our shopping carts. The prices of food staples like meat, milk, and eggs are up considerably, and for many Americans, that means soaring food shopping bills. I am feeding two growing teenage boys, and I am known to speak pretty well on camera, so CBS tapped me for the segment.
Here I am, cough drops and all. If you’ve followed me over here to tell me that I shouldn’t complain about the price of meat because I have a nice kitchen like over at CBS.com, please use the comments below. And, just like in my kitchen, I will kick out the rude, obnoxious, and crazy. Please make your points with respect, and I will respect your comments.
