My book client wasn’t done working for the week, not with the very tight deadline of last-minute edits he had in front him. So he asked me to edit a page he’d just written for his book. Only, I was on my way from the soccer game to see my niece cheerlead at her high school’s football game. I didn’t have my laptop with me, and I wouldn’t be home for several hours.
How would I get it done?
Easy. I stopped at a Starbucks, ordered a grande latte, whipped out my HTC Windows 8X phone, pulled up Office, and edited the file he’d emailed me, on the go, right there in the coffee shop. Then I saved it to SkyDrive, attached it to an email, and sent it back to him.
I got it done — on the go, on a Friday night, between games.
Thanks to Office 365, I can accomplish what I need to do from anywhere, on my own terms. As a busy mom, blogger, author, and entrepreneur, I’m constantly on the move. That makes it challenging to get both my work and my personal stuff done. But that’s the 21st century way, isn’t it?
Office 365 gives me the full power of the very latest Office apps with the flexibility of the cloud. That means that I can access Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote wherever I am, on my phone, on my laptop, or on my tablet.
As the CEO of MommaSaid.net and the CFO (Chief Family Officer) at my house, I use Office 365 to get things done, even at the “end” of the workweek, at the coffee shop, between games, and anything else life decides to throw at me.
How do you get things done and get rewarded for it? Win the adventure of a lifetime by entering Microsoft Office’s “Get It Done Anywhere Contest” at www.office.com/getitdone. DEADLINE 11/21/13!
Note: This post is part of the Office Champs brand ambassador program, but the words and thoughts are all mine, because I love me my Office 365.
