This is the Jersey Shore I’ve known and loved all my life:
And this:
And this:
Which is why I’m giving my dear Jersey love this week through, well, #JerseyLove:
Together, 40 bloggers from across the country are combining their networks to get the word out that the Jersey Shore is open for business this summer. Thanks to a sponsorship from Caesars Entertainment, we are using our social influence for social good.
In fact, last night we threw a Twitter party with D6 Sports (in honor of their fabulously fun Surf Skimmer) for #JerseyLove and reached 640,000 people with 22 million impressions. The party even trended in the US during prime time. To give you an idea of how many people that is, 640,000 is about 16 times the population of Atlantic City, one of the locations for the big four-day #JerseyLove blogger retreat this weekend. And 22 million impressions? You do the math.
Thanks to D6 Sports, we will be presenting the mayor of Belmar with a donation for the Belmar Relief and Recovery Foundation, because of Sandy’s devastating effects:
Look for #JerseyLove tweets this week from me and the other bloggers from Social Media Moms and NJ Digital Moms dedicated to bringing the Jersey Shore some love this summer. You can help by retweeting our tweets so we can all spread the word together that the Jersey Shore is open for business this summer.
