“What are those boxes in the hallway?” my husband asked,
looking annoyed like he often does when my blogging life spills out of my office and throughout the house.
“Zhu Zhu Pets. I’m supposed to give them away and blog about it,” I replied.
And then he looked even more annoyed, both because we had 104 Zhu Zhu Pets in boxes in our front hallway,
and also because I’d said, “Zhu Zhu Pets,” and he had no idea what I was talking about.
“Toy hamsters,” I explained, but the annoyed look didn’t go away.
“I get to play Santa. I can give them away as long as I blog about it,” I added.
He stopped looking annoyed, if only because he knew the boxes would go away before Christmas.
Also, the Santa part. He’s a Scout Master or some such thing, and the Scouts love that sort of thing.
Then I saw a sign on my way to my son’s art class:
“How would you like 104 Zhu Zhu Pets?” I asked Realtor Keith Dama, and he said, “Sure.” So after I picked up my son at art class, he and I dropped off the Zhu Zhu Pets, and he took pictures of me with Elisa Kolenut, and Elisa with Keith.
And then everyone was happy, including my husband, for we had committed Random Acts of Zhu.
One hundred bloggers were selected to commit Random Acts of Zhu, like these. MommaSaid is proud to be a part of the program. Our Zhu Zhu Pets went to Toys for Tots, through Weichert, Realtors in Kinnelon, NJ.
