Thank you for this. It makes me realize I have something to look forward to as well. I found out something was really wrong with me the day after my daughter’s first birthday and began treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma two days before my 32nd birthday. Like you, I am looking forward to my 34th birthday, as I got the all-clear from my doctor in January. Good luck, and happy birthday wishes for many more years to come.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I think I’ll keep on celebrating for a few more days.

Thanks everyone. We were driving home from my birthday dinner last night when I read an e-mail that my teenaged neighbor Nicole, who has leukemia for the third time, isn’t doing well. Please say a prayer for her. And if you’re in NJ, please consider giving blood and/or platelets. Here’s the information: http://sites.google.com/site/nikkirdonors/

I got all teary, too. and I’m thinking you incorporate at least one of those tattoos into a real live full-on tattoo. I’ll go wtih you and get the peony I’ve always wanted…

Happy Birthday Jen! I’m 43 too and having a bit of a health scare myself, having just found out that at least on paper, I pretty much have no immune system. Thanks for reminding us to appreciate every birthday we get and all the days in between!

As I slide down my last six months of being 43 myself, I find myself all teary-eyed reading this post. And I think my years between 40-43 have been a challenge! Happy, happy birthday, Jen.
