Actually, this year it’s a race car, and I’ve got one to give away, courtesy of the folks at Hess. You may recall that I’d asked for two, so I could give the second one to the pediatric oncology floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey. But supplies were limited, so I’m going to buy one to give to the hospital and give the freebie to one lucky reader here at MommaSaid.net.
Here’s how you can get your chance to win:
Leave a comment under this blog posting, listing your favorite charity or charities. If you’d like to add a reason why they are your favorites, please do. But mostly, I want to raise awareness of your favorite charities this Thanksgiving week.
On Black Friday at noon ET, I will use a random number selecter to choose the winner. Please make sure I can contact you by supplying a link to your blog or through your e-mail address. Check back after noon ET on Friday to see who won the 2009 Hess Race Car right here at MommaSaid.
Finally, I want to thank you, my loyal, kind and often very funny readers, for continuing to read MommaSaid.net’s blogs and my books. Thank you so very much.
Nicole, You’re the winner! Congrats. I’ll contact you to mail you the prize.
Sorry for the delay; I was at the pediatrician’s office finding out that my son has swine flu. Don’t worry, I’ll wipe down your prize before sending it.

I just heard about this foundation tied to a friend of mine who was personally affected. Rett Syndrome is a terrible disease affecting baby girls; I hope they find a cure for this:

I am thankful for those supporting this cause!
Lighthouse for the Blind, in NYC. They assist blind and visually impaired people with learning how to live full, independent lives. I am a former client.
