    Hi Jen,

Thank you for this lovely post. The Taken-for-Grantedness has a certain charm and comfort to it – even though I have the privilege to bring it up just in case there’s a fight brewing! You might recognize my name from Flx; haven’t been back in a while because I’m focusing on creative nonfiction right now. I had no clue you were ill; it’s great to know you’re doing well! Many many wishes for many decades together with your wonderful husband!

Happy Anniversity! The passion in marriage does last as long as the comittment. The passion in my marriage was gone years ago, but I don’t know what I would do without my husband, and I know that he wouldn’t know what to do without me. You said it well – “Cancer could have ruined my marriage. It could have driven us apart, but instead, it brought us closer. I can’t tell you why, because I really don’t know what the secret is.” Isn’t that what marriage really is about anyway? If it was just passion, would that be enough to keep you together all these years?

Hi – first I have to say how beautiful & handsome you both look – and heck YOUNG!!!

I agree with everything you said – who knew what was to come down the road (but we survived), and what will be coming – it is all good!!!
